Conspiracy Theory Rock
I don't know how many of you ever saw Robert Smigel's "Conspiracy Theory Rock" on Saturday Night Live but Move Left Media has posted an mpeg of it online. The short was originally broadcast on SNL in 1998, but once the powers that be at NBC got wind of it, it was pulled from episode so that it wouldn't appear in reruns. Though not as funny as some of Smigel's other shorts, it was one of those rare moments where an honest critique of big media made its way out on the airwaves, if only for a short time.
p.s. I've got a higher-res version of this; if you all interested, I could make a bittorrent of it...

I'd be very interested in the high-res version. I saw this the one time it aired and thought it was a knockout. It really disappointed me the way Lorne Michaels caved, proving Mr. Smigels' point so acutely.
